Pledge to the United States and Texas Flags and invocation: President Newby led the pledge of allegiance. Gonzales led the prayer. The meeting was called to order at 1800 hrs. 2. Change in the order of business: Candidate Marlon Barabin was taken out of order to speak to the board. Henry made a motion for the endorsement of Marlon Barabin for the city council race. Gonzales seconded the motion. Motion passed unopposed. Kirk Bailey, Candidate for Constable Precinct 5, was taken out of order to speak to the board. Rinehart made a motion for the endorsement of Kirk Bailey for Constable Precinct 5. The motion was seconded by Goerlitz. Motion passed unopposed. 5. Reading of the minutes from the previous meeting: Barber made a motion to accept the minutes as presented without the reading of them. Gonzales seconded the motion. Passed unopposed. 6. Application for new membership: 4 new applications for membership. Barber made a motion for the acceptance of all 4 applications. Goerlitz seconded the motion passed unopposed. 7. Resignations: No resignations. 8. Treasurer's Report: Rivera gave the board a briefing on the finances of the Organization. 9. Communications and Bills: Report of Committee's: a. Luis Figueroa for Deputies Relief Fund; Motion by Goerlitz for $1000. Seconded by Barber. Motion passed unopposed. Andy Viruette for Deputies Relief Fund; Motion by Goerlitz for $500. Seconded by Gonzales. Motion passed. A phone poll had been done earlier in the week for Precinct Deputy Constable Patricia Botello for $500 from Deputies Relief Fund. Goerlitz made a motion for Rivera to have up to $1000 to spend on the BBQ Fundraiser for Patricia Botello from the Deputies Relief Fund . Barber seconded the motion. Motion passed. Barber made a motion for $400 for Deputy Castleberry's sponsorship in the NOBLE Golf Tournament. Gonzales seconded the motion. Passed unopposed. 12. Welfare of the Organization: 13.
